On the occasion of International Mountain Day, on December 11, 2024, at 3:30 PM, a special event will be organized by the Our Lady of Good Counsel Foundation in Aula Magna of the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel".
December 11, a day of global reflection on natural treasures, also highlights the unique landscapes of Albania, a country rich in seas and mountains.
This event, hosted at UKZKM, will bring together nature enthusiasts, mountaineers, environmental protection experts, the President of the Our Lady of Good Counsel Foundation, Fr. Ruggero Valentini, political and administrative authorities, representatives of the Italian Cultural Institute, professional mountain guides, students, and more.
The event will also feature the presentation of a very special book returning to the public after a long period. The Mountains of Albania, a 1941 edition by author Piero Ghiglione, will be showcased on this International Day through this unique initiative.
This book represents a valuable work for its literary and inspirational perspective on Albania's mountains, as well as being a historically significant edition.
