The Specialist in General Surgery must have acquired theoretical, scientific, and professional knowledge in the field of physiopathology, functional and instrumental semeiotics and general surgical clinic; he also has specific expertise in emergency surgery, first aid and trauma, in traditional, endoscopic and minimally invasive digestive system surgery, in endocrine surgery, in oncological surgery and in replacement, reconstructive and organ transplant surgery. The duration of the course is five years.
