Summary:
The project is a cooperation with the researchers of University of Milano and it is oriented towards basic and applied research. The identification and projection of inhibitory activity substances that can be used to cure protozoan diseases are project’s key purposes. Italian researcher staff have a consolidated experience in the design and synthesis of molecule able to have biological activity. Once identified, substances are subject to evaluation and improvement of pharmacokinetic parameters in order to be used in preclinical studies. The project is innovative because, for the moment, there are still no effective medications in this area.
