The study program has a duration of three academic years, divided into six semesters of study and the students receive a total of 180 university credits (ECTS). Attending classes and clinical practice is mandatory in 75% of all subjects and years, teaching is mainly administered in Italian by Italian and Albanian professors. Since the first year, the student carries out clinical practice at the hospitals, at the Polyambulation Center, at the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center of our hospital-university complex, or in hospital rehabilitation services, gyms, etc.
Students in the end receive a double degree issued from the Catholic University "Our Lady of the Good Council" and the "Tor Vergata" University of Rome, which is well-known in Albania as well as in all the member countries of the European Union.

Physiotherapy is a health discipline that deals with developing, maintaining and improving mobility throughout life, particularly in patients who have suffered from various trauma and diseases, or to the people of old age. Therefore, it improves the quality of life through prevention, treatment, training and rehabilitation of patients in many specialties: orthopedics, neurology, rheumatology, gynecology, cardiology, pneumatology, pediatrics, etc.
A physiotherapist is a professional who, independently or in collaboration with other specialists, carries out interventions, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation to patients in the areas of mobility, upper cortical functions and injured organs. Depending on the diagnosis and the medical recommendations, he/she defines the rehabilitation program, independently exercises therapeutic activities for functional rehabilitation of motor, psychomotor and cognitive disabilities using physical, manual therapies, mesotherapy, proposes placement of prostheses and aids, training in its use and verifies its effectiveness. A physiotherapist may also carry out research activities, teaching and professional consultancies.
