The 6th International Conference entitled "NEW STRATEGIES TO EXPAND INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION FOR NURSING AND HEALTH PROFESSIONS RESEARCH" was held in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”.
The conference was opened by the Magnificent Rector of the Catholic University " Our Lady of Good Counsel " Prof. Leonardo Palombi, who appreciated the contribution that such meetings provide in the education and training of the new generations of nurses, physiotherapists and doctors, professionals considered central to the care and assistance of people.
During the conference, scientific reports resulting from research work on topics related to health services were presented. The hall, full of students from our Nursing, Physiotherapy and Medicine study programs, has also became a place for debate and discussion on various topics related to the challenges posed by the new health needs characteristic of an aging population and a population which is bearer of multiple chronic pathologies. In this context, nurses and physiotherapists are the professionals who are called upon to provide those services that people need most.
The speakers of the conference were internationally known professors, as Prof. Joyce Fitzpatrick from the University of Cleveland, Prof. Susan Gennaro from Boston College and professors from the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel", moderated by Gennaro Rocco, Director of the International Research Center for Nursing Sciences.
