Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" is an example of cooperation between Albania and Italy in the field of university studies.

In a meeting held in Viterbo, Italy with the Minister of University and Research Maria Cristina Messa and the Rectors of universities of Rome and those of the region of Lazio, the head of the Albanian Government said:

"We have a special and significant example in Tirana, Albania. It is the example of Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”, which was founded years ago as a request made by Mother Teresa, supported by the Holy See. This is a university, which gives us the opportunity to understand how these synergies, and collaborations can arise and work. It is a genuine Italian-Albanian university, not only in terms of its academic staff, but also in terms of students which are a mix of Italian and Albanian youth, who study together and then, individually decide how to continue their path.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that with Italian universities we can move forward in this sense, starting from the simple fact of this special connection between Italy and Albania.
