On 3 June 2024, the conference "Dementia in Albania: Epidemiology and pharmacological therapies" was held in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel". This event is part of the activities of the project "Dementia in Albania: epidemiology, pharmacological therapies and the use of antibiotics", financed by the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation.
The conference proceedings were opened by Assoc. Prof. Malvina Hoxha, scientific coordinator of the project, who informed the participants about the idea of the project, its purpose, the objectives and the results obtained so far.
The conference was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection Assoc. Prof. Entela Ramosaçaj and the Director of the National Programs, National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), PhD. Marsela Robo, who greeted the participants and underlined the importance of the project.

The main objective of this conference was to inform and raise awareness among the participants about dementia and its prevention, providing a detailed overview of this pathology, from the medical aspects to pharmacological therapies.
