Pharmacovigilance in Albania and other European countries

The conference entitled “Pharmacovigilance in Albania and other European countries” was held on May 13, 2024, at the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”. This conference is part of the activities of the project "Harmonization of the Albanian Pharmaceutical Legislation with the European Pharmaceutical Directive" - PHARM-EU, which is included in the Jean Monnet module, and financed by the Erasmus+ program of the EU.


The conference entitled “Pharmacovigilance in Albania and other European countries” was held on May 13, 2024, at the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”. This conference is part of the activities of the project "Harmonization of the Albanian Pharmaceutical Legislation with the European Pharmaceutical Directive" - PHARM-EU, which is included in the Jean Monnet module, and financed by the Erasmus+ program of the EU.

The Rector of the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Council" Prof. Leonardo Palombi welcomed the President of the Albanian Order of Pharmacist, and other guests. The administrator of the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" Evis Karandrea welcomed the conference and other initiatives taken in the framework of the PHARM-EU European Project. The conference was chaired by Prof. Assoc. Malvina Hoxha, scientific coordinator of the PHARM-EU project, who also presented the European pharmacovigilance legislation.

Jovisa Marku, Albanian National Agency for Drugs and Medical Devices (AKBPM)
Sindi Lekbello, Safety Specialist, Dompé Albania 

The purpose of this conference was to inform the participants about the current situation of Pharmacovigilance in Albania, and the steps taken to harmonize it with the European pharmacovigilance legislation.
