The publication of the book entitled “Sustainable Development Culture for Inclusive Communities: Methodological Tools for New Visions” brought together experts, professors and students in the Aula Magna of the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”, providing a further contribution to new studies in this field. At the beginning of this meeting, the Rector of UKZKM, Prof. Leonardo Palombi, after welcoming friends and guests, explained why it is important to talk about this publication today. According to the rector Palombi, the secret lies in keeping Europe stable, in harmony with human and development values, and this book offers a perspective that enriches our knowledge. Prof. Palombi stated that in past centuries, but also now, Europe has experienced strong events, which have had their impact also throughout the world. In a scenario of strong demographic changes, underlines Rector Palombi, the economy and technology are growing and various panoramas linked to geopolitics are emerging. This book offers ideas on how we can conceive the cities of the future, embracing the model that Europe offers today: coexistence.

Deputy Mayor of Tirana Andi Seferi said that the book is a valuable publication that serves as a guide for local government leaders, helping us better understand sustainable urban development.

UKZKM Vice-Rector, Prof. Edmond Hajdëri said that he is happy that the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" becomes the initiator of such a publication, which offers much knowledge on the challenge of sustainable development. Prof. Hajdëri stated that UCNSBC is a multidisciplinary university that offers scientific research, and this publication is an invitation to new researchers to find new professional methods in their work. Vice-Rector Hajdëri drew attention to the words of the Holy Father Pope Francis on the role of sustainable development at the climate, urban and human levels. According to Prof. Hajdëri, this book is useful for people who deal with communities and their overall development, but also for students, because they must consider the public interest and the construction of projects that help and do not create conflicts. The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Social and Political Sciences of UKZKM, Vittorio Teotonico shared with the audience his experience in meeting one of the editors of this book, Professor Uricchio, appreciating the clarity in the ideas presented in the book.

Professor Antonio Felice Uricchio, who holds the position of President of the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR) and former Rector of the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, after thanking the UKZKM managers for this promotion, stated that the theme of sustainability is a theme that involves families, cities and communities, offering a clear vision of the future. Young people and culture, he said, play an important role and, by respecting the rights of nature, we can achieve the best for a sustainable future. This publication is a bold exploration of the consequences of community participation and care, the benefits of cultural and natural heritage, and the impact that land development has on communities. The meeting was also welcomed by Prof. Mario Aulenta, Associate Professor of Tax Law at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”.
