The Project Erasmus+ International Mobility of Teaching

During the period from 6 to 10 May 2024, as part of the Erasmus+ International Mobility of Teaching Staff, Dr. Prunela Poliçi and Dr. Raffaella Cascella visited the Faculty of Medicine at the Catholic University of Valencia San Vincente Martir (UCV) to share the academic experience and not only with this European reality. The host institution has organized an agenda with various academic activities in the Faculty of Medicine including lectures and practical sessions in Orthodontics at the UCV Clinics of Dr. Poliçi in the Master's program in Integral Orthodontics, sharing of Dr. Cascella's research lines with the professors and researchers of the University and holding of the seminar entitled "The utility of biomarkers in retinal degeneration and neurodegenerative diseases: from discovery to clinical practice", and lectures of Genomic medicine to students of the Dentistry program. Furthermore, they visited the Molecular Medicine and Proteomics Laboratories, as well as the Virtual Hospital used for the training of students of the Faculty of Medicine. Also included in their agenda were cultural activities in the beautiful Spanish city of Valencia. On this occasion they had the opportunity to integrate into the new academic context, to get to know various important academic and administrative figures belonging to the Faculty and University, to compare and share strategies for the various academic and research activities and to establish knowledge and new perspectives for future collaborations as well as promote cultural diversity.
