University Language Centre “Our Lady of Good Counsel” conducts scientific research in the field of linguistics, having as its main focus the usage of contemporary methodological approaches in foreign language teaching/learning.
Special attention is paid to applied scientific research, organizations of conferences, congresses and seminars. The Centre is open to cooperate in national and international scientific reseach projects, for the purpose of promoting language education and training.
Plurilingualism and multiculturalism are areas of research of high importance for the modern societies. These fields are quite complex from the cultural and linguistics view.

“Aleksandër Moisiu” University - Durrës & Association “Albanian Psychologists” – Albania organized the National Scientific Conference titled: “Global Education and Multiculturalism” on 4 May 2018 in Durrës. From the staff of the Catholic University “Our Lady of the Good Counsel”, this conference was attended by: PhD. Natalina Hoti, Director of the University of the Language Centre with the same name, where she presented the paper titled: “Multiculturalism in complex societies, theoretical philosophical reading” and Msc. Elona Mehilli (Kolaj), lecturer of English Language presented the paper titled: “The Influence of Globalisation in the Education in Albania”.

On 16-18 October 2017 it was held the International Symposium on “Young People and Inequalities”, at the Catholic University “Sacro Cuore” in Milan, Italy. This conference was attended by Natalina Hoti PhD, Director of the University Language Centre “Our Lady of the Good Counsel”. At the plenary session she presented the paper entitled “The situation of women in a society that has undergone rapid transformation, Albania after communism”.
