Objectives.
CIRIM aims to implement studies and research that have as their purpose:
- Improving the quality of nursing care by producing scientific evidence on nursing outcomes, the effectiveness of new practices and technologies, and patient safety.
- The promotion of people's health and well-being, through research on factors that influence health, models of prevention and care, and the needs of the most vulnerable segments of the population.
- The continued development of the nursing profession, through the education of qualified nurse researchers and the dissemination of scientific knowledge through all available channels.

- Conduct clinical evaluations and technology assessments on new products or clinical devices that promote strategic improvement in performance or quality of life for patients.
- Promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge, through publication of scientific articles, promotion and participation in international conferences, and continuing education of nurses and other health professionals.
