In 2019, Elona Ndoj graduated with honors at the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel", in the "Pharmacy" Study Program. Since the first years of study, she has shown her passion for research, especially in the field of Neurology. Subject of her degree thesis was "Neurology and Neuroscience" conducted at the Hospital of the Order "Fate bene Fratelli". After getting the qualification in Milan, she worked at a pharmacy in Verona during the period of the COVID epidemic.
After two years of pharmacy work experience, Elona decided to follow her passion for research. She is currently following a PhD in "Molecular genetics and translational medicine applied to neuroscience" at the University of Brescia. She is also continuing her research at the University of Rochester in the United States, focused on applied pharmacology and physiology in the fields of psychology and neuroscience. Her research focuses on chemical compounds that activate orphan receptors.
Elona expresses her gratitude to the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" which has significantly contributed to her professional formation. She particularly appreciates the competence of the professors in the pharmaceutical field and the welcoming environment of the university, that have contributed to her increased interest in scientific research in the field of Neuroscience.
