“Economy of Francesco” is the meeting with young economists, this meeting was held from 19 to 21 November 2020

Economy of Francesco is the meeting with young economists, wanted by the Holy Father; a movement of young people with faces, personalities, ideas that moves and lives all over the world for an inclusive, sustainable economy and to give a soul to the economy of tomorrow. One of the speakers of this international meeting is Prof. Raul Caruso director of CESPIC (European Center for the Science of Peace, Integration and Cooperation), which was born at the Catholic University "Our Lady of Good Counsel" with the aim of developing and supporting the Science of Peace.
In fact, prof. Caruso will face the delicate issue between public interest and private sector in the pursuit of peace, entitled: "Peace economics and industrial reconversion: a recovery plan for the world" together with professors J. C. Cárdenas and S. Snyder.
This issue is particularly relevant if we look at the military industry where private incentives often tend to collide with the interest of the community. There is also a role of the private sector in allocating its resources to investments that are not a harbinger of conflicts, but which are rather engines of resolution of the same.
In recent months, Prof. Caruso has supported the work of young people of the 'Business and Peace' village by participating in various meetings and proposing a path in line with recent developments in the peace economy.
