Elona Mëhilli, professor of English language and culture at the Catholic University of Our Lady of Good Counsel, had the honor of representing our institution at the International Staff Week, which was held from March 10 to 14, 2025 at the Catholic University of Lille as part of the Erasmus+ training mobility. This prestigious event brought together 50 academics from partner universities from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, fostering global dialogue and collaboration.
This year's theme, "Universities of the Future," focused on sharing best practices and gaining insights into innovative projects that are shaping the future of higher education. One of the main discussions during the week focused on the challenges universities face around the world as they adapt to a rapidly changing education landscape.
Prof. Mëhilli participated in a series of activities, workshops and visits to the French campus where sustainable development initiatives were presented. During this event, the importance of fostering innovation in teaching and learning and introducing new methods to improve student engagement and university practices was also emphasized.
Prof. Mehilli's participation in this important event emphasizes our university's commitment to global changes in education, as well as strengthens international partnerships.
