Klodian Muço obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Bergamo (Italy) in 2007 and a master’s degree in Economic, organisation, and innovation of companies in global markets at the University of Bergamo in 2009. He obtained his PhD in “Production and development economics” in 2015 at the University of Insubria (Varese, Italy).
In 2011 he became a university researcher and in 2020 an Associate Professor in the SECS-P/01 scientific-disciplinary sector (Political economy). He has published more than 50 scientific articles in indexed journals and two books in the field of Albania's economic growth. He has taken part to over 30 international conferences. In 2020 he was a visiting professor at the Department of Economics and finance at the Aldo Moro University of Bari. Between 2018 and 2020 he was a visiting researcher at the University of Macerata (Italy) and at the Bocconi University (Italy). He also did a post-doc at Fribourg University (Switzerland).
His academic career started in 2011 as an assistant professor in Political Economy, at the University of Bergamo (Italy), and later as a lecturer at the University of Gjirokastra “Eqrem Çabej” and at the University of Durres “Aleksander Moisiu”. From 2016 to 2017 he held the position of Head of Department of Economic policies and member of the academic Senate at the University of Gjirokastra “Eqrem Çabej”. Currently, he is deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economic, Political and Social sciences and delegate of the Rector of the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel” for Sustainability.
