CESPIC in cooperation with Confronti organized the Roundtable “Religions, Coexistence and Peace”, in the framework of the 5th edition of the Summer School “Roots of War and Establishment of a Lasting Peace”. The roundtable was held on 17th September 2020 and intended to deal with the complex relationship between the co-existence of religions and the establishment of a durable peace. This topic appears to be particularly crucial for the Balkans. In particular, the topic is in line with one of the three conceptual pillars of the CESPIC approach to Peace: Peace “from within”, namely the micro-foundations of Peace within societies.
The roundtable was opened by the welcome addresses of Father Daniele Bertoldi, President of the Foundation “Our Lady of Good Counsel”, Prof. Bruno Giardina, Rector of the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”and H.E. Fabrizio Bucci, Italy’s Ambassador to Albania.
Speakers:
Prof. Raul Caruso, CESPIC Director
Catholic “University Our Lady of Good Counsel”
Prof. Paolo Naso
Sapienza University of Rome
Prof. Emanuela Claudia Del Re
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy
The roundtable was chaired by Dr. Claudio Paravati, Director of Confronti,
Study Center and Magazine.
