The Research Center for Human Sciences (CRISU), part of the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”, on 27 May 2022, in the Aula Magna organized the Conference: Ukraine_Europe_2022: another "useless massacre".
The Conference, moderated by Fr. Appolinaire Anguisa Metogo, Director of the Research Centre, was a great success and social impact. This event had the big support of Fr. Jerome Ndo Mih, President, of “Our Lady of Good Counsel” Foundation, and Prof. Bruno Giardina, Magnificent Rector of the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel”. Among the special guests who gave a message of peace and solidarity at the beginning of the event were Mrs. Albana Tole, Vice Minister of Education, Sports and Youth of the Republic of Albania; Mr.Andi Seferi, Deputy Mayor of Tirana, and Mrs.Giorgia Zilio, Coordinator of the program Sanità di Frontiera Albania.
The presence of the Ambassador of Ukraine in Albania, H.E Mr.Volodymyr Shkurov in this important event was a particular honor for the university. He was appreciated and welcomed by all participants.
In the second part, the Research Center for the Human Sciences (CRISU), through the reflections and analysis of scholars and experts such as General Doctor Gabriele Lupini, Prof. Raul Caruso, Dr. Daniele Frigeri, and Prof.Tritan Shehu raised in-depth discussions on the drama of the war in Ukraine, focusing on the human experience of the war and the psycho-social consequences of this humanitarian tragedy.
This Conference was the second of two events dedicated by the Catholic University “Our Lady of Good Counsel” on the drama of Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict.
