Course Description
The study program has a duration of three academic years, divided into six semesters of study and requires a total of 180 university credits (ECTS). Attending classes and clinical practice is mandatory in 75% of all courses and years, while teaching is mainly administered by Italian professors and professors from Albanian in Italian. Lectures are developed with the help of modern teaching materials and advanced telematic and audio-visual tools. Students perform professional activities by practicing simulation techniques on make-up and using other didactic and electro-medical services. The Nursing Study Program is conducted in parallel both at the premises of the Catholic University of Tirana and at the university affiliate in Elbasan.
Students at the end of the Study Program receive a double Diploma in Nursing, issued jointly by the Catholic University and "Tor Vergata" University of Rome, recognized in Albania, Italy and in all EU member countries.

The nurse is a professional who deals with nursing, healing, treatment and rehabilitating assistance to patients. He/she deals with defining health needs, planning, administering and evaluating the assistance intervention, guarantees the correct implementation of diagnostic and curative medical instructions. The nurse, also, assists in research, university and support training, and after graduation he/she can specialize in different fields or attend professional master's degree or Master of Science degree.

Candidates, citizens of Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, enrolling for the first time in the academic year 2023 - 2024, will receive scholarship for the first year study program as below:
- 15% of the annual tuition fee for the Nursing Study Program, when they have a high school average from 9.00 - 9.99, and
- 30% of the annual tuition fee when they have a high school average of 10.00.
The above fee comprises the full annual fee and the student does not pay extra fees when he/she has to take and/or repeat an exam.
